GENERAL QUESTIONS

Para crear las preguntas generales con verbos diferentes al verbo to be, tenemos que volver a utilizar los auxiliares DO y DOES, que ahora irán al principio de la oración.

To create the general questions with verbs different from verb to be, we have to use back the auxiliar DO and DOES, that now will go at the start of the sentence.

Recuerda que cuando usamos los auxiliares, los verbos no pueden estar conjugados (No llevan S – ES – IES)

Remember that when we use the auxiliars, the verbs can’t be conjugated (they don’t have S – ES - IES)

EXAMPLE:

Do you like me?               Does she play golf?        Do they drive car?                Does he open the door?

Te gusto?                           Juega ella golf?                Manejan ellos un carro?      Abre el la puerta?

Como lo he dicho durante los primeros Blogs, Las preguntas generales siempre se responderán con un YES o con un NO.

As I have said it during the first Blogs, the general questions always will be answered with a YES or a NO.

Así que, si mi pregunta tiene un DOES, la respuesta sea afirmativa o negativa llevara un DOES/DOESN’T.

So, if my question has a DOES, the affirmative or negative answer should have a DOES/DOESN’T.

Y si mi pregunta lleva un DO, la respuesta tendrá que tener un DO/DON’T

And if my question has a DO, the answer should have a DO/DON’T.

EXAMPLE:

Do you like me?               Does she play golf?        Do they drive car?            Does he open the door?

Yes, I Do                        Yes, She does                Yes, they do                     Yes, he does

No, I Don’t                     No, She Doesn’t             No, They Don’t                No, he Doesn’t
